Robot-making process [5] waist

The upper part of the body is going to be assembled from now on. Above all, the internal frames and the waist should be built first.


Four motors and combiners that constitute the internal frame


Firstly, attach the combiners to be at right angles to each other as shown below.



Two motors should be joined to the both sides of the combiners as in the picture below.


And make the other part in symmetry in the same manner.



Then, the two frames are linked to the both legs - from pelvis to waist.


The legs and internal frames are not put together yet. So, it is the waist that acts as a link between the two. The below picture illustrates its development figure.
The aluminium plane figure should be shaped like this in order to encircle the two separate elements, and join them into one.


Now, complete! The T-shape arrangement of internal frames make it possible for the parts to resemble a human waist.
