This is my first work. It is one of the humanoids that appear in my UGC movies that I am producing now. Let alone the movies, the humanoid itself is also an independent work of art. The title is "the Statue of Avalokiteśvara".
Avalokiteśvara is a Buddhist term that denotes "Lord who looks down". In Korea, there are a lot of people who believe in Buddhism, more than who believe in Christianity. For them, my work might be deemed as insulting their religion. Nonetheless, I'd like to show them my own version of Avalokiteśvara, because I believe the Korean spirit, which Korean people had kept for thousands years but lost and forgotten for the past 200 years of modernization, lies in it.
A person of this spirit has mercy on all creatures around him or her. He or she also can assimilate themselves to nature and therefore knows the beauty of nature and God. The person or the individual as such is one of the most important theme of my work.
